From the young age of three, Anya has known she wanted to perform. After failing miserably at soccer, Anya's mom put her in dance classes, and she never looked back. Growing up, you'd find her dancing down the grocery store aisles, singing her heart out, and creating some top-notch original musicals for her elementary school.

Growing up in DC, Anya has been lucky to have worked with some legends of the Musical Theatre world from a young age. She found herself inspired and fulfilled by the hard work, community, and ability to give back to an audience. This is what keeps her going every day.

​

This deep love and belief in the change that we can make through art has inspired Anya through her time at The Academy at Metropolitan School of the Arts, Elon University's BFA Music Theatre Program, and the Theatre Academy London. Her curiosity about how we can create a more inclusive art form has led her to spend years researching How Non-Dancer's Interpret Dance as a Storytelling Method in Music Theatre.

Outside of the studio and practice rooms, you'll often find Anya teaching a Group Fitness class,  rewatching Scream, solving a crossword, or hanging out with her corgis, Roz and Boo.
